Welcome to The Fungal Jungle’s crunchy cousin – the dehydrated mushroom zone. Mushrooms are one of my favorite things to dry because they transform into umami bombs: powders, toppers, soup kit magic, and chewy little flavor grenades.

I’ve dehydrated my own farm-grown mushrooms and plenty of store‑bought test batches while I wait for harvest cycles. Some mushrooms dry beautifully. Some shrivel into weird little fossils. Some turn into powder so good it should be illegal.
