Sun Requirements

• Eucalyptus loves full sun – aim for 8+ hours daily.
• It tolerates heat beautifully and prefers open, airy spaces.
• Avoid shaded areas – they reduce leaf color and fragrance.

Watering

• Water deeply once weekly until established.
• After the first season, Eucalyptus becomes drought‑tolerant.
• Avoid soggy soil – roots need oxygen.
• Mulch lightly to retain moisture and prevent weeds.

Soil & Fertilizer (Organic‑Only)

Use well‑draining sandy loam enriched with compost.

Container Flowers

• Every 2 weeks alternate with compost tea and diluted fish emulsion 
• Monthly worm castings  
• Heavy bloomers appreciate steady nutrition
• Too much nitrogen = lots of leaves, fewer flowers
• Containers dry out fast, so keep moisture consistent

In‑Ground Flowers
